Brenda Sheridan, Executive Director

Brenda Sheridan, Ed.D., is the Executive Director for DUCA, and a member of DUCA’s Academic Council. She is also the Director of Communications at the College of Computing & Informatics. She has a Ed.D. from the University of Pittsburgh in Higher Education Administration. Her dissertation title was: Key components of successful higher education online fundraising programs. Dr. Sheridan has a MS in Journalism from West Virginia University and a BS in Broadcast Journalism from Penn State University. She is a member of Kappa Tau Alpha, National Journalism Honorary. Dr. Sheridan has worked in higher education for the past 20 years as an Adjunct Instructor, fundraiser and administrator.

Dave Augenblick, Academic Director

Augenblick's teaching interests include introductory and object-oriented programming, data structures and database systems, computer application project management, the application of computer programming principles and solutions to engineering problems. Augenblick, who joined Drexel University's faculty in 2007, previously taught in Drexel's Evening College of Professional Studies (1984-2006) where he was the recipient of the Stanley J. Gwiazda Professorship in 2003-2004 for teaching excellence. In addition to his experience at Drexel, Augenblick worked in the oil industry at Sunoco for 33 years (1974-2007) as a chemical engineer/systems consultant, where he also held a wide variety of positions, including manager of systems development project management team, manager of numerous major refinery computer application implementation projects and senior business consultant for project justification.

Ann Trachte, Residential Life Director

Ann Trachte is the Residential Life Director for DUCA, and has worked for the program in various capacities since 2011. During the school year, she holds two jobs at University of Southern California, one with Residential Education and the other at Information Technology Services Learning Environments. That combination fittingly embodies her passion for both student affairs and technology, as she pursues a BS/MA degree in occupational therapy.
