Who We Are
Drexel University Computing Academy (DUCA) is a five-week, residential summer learning experience at Drexel University in Philadelphia. Through DUCA, students share an authentic college experience, exploring information technology, computer science, business, and digital arts & media through interactive, group projects and labs, all while living in a residence hall, eating at University dining facilities, exploring Philadelphia, and, best of all, making new friends.
DUCA students explore all computing degree programs at Drexel University, including information systems, computer science, game design and animation, engineering, the management of technology in business, and beyond. DUCA students do not focus on one specific area of computing. Rather, the program has a more holistic approach to education, exposing students to a variety of fields.
The program is open to current high school sophomores and juniors, with no residency requirements - students from anywhere in the U.S. may apply.
Students who successfully complete DUCA and subsequently enroll at Drexel University will receive a $3,000 renewable scholarship.
